Lake Vouliagmeni

Lake Vouliagmeni is one of the most impressive natural sights of Athens. Its depth or connection to the sea have not been discovered yet. The characteristics of the lake combined with the unique surroundings make it a significant monument. It is has been declared a natural monument and a protected wetland. It is included in the network «NATURA 2000» and is protected by the International Convention «RAMSAR». You can swim in the lake from 07.00 until 20.00 daily.

The pedestrian street of Dionissios Aeropagitis

The pedestrian street of Dionyssios Areopagitis starts at Amalias Avenue and ends at the Odeon. It is part of the pedestrian system that aimed at the unification of the archaeological sites of the center of the city. The pedestrian zone, which has been declared an archaeological site, does not allow the passage of vehicles and you can enjoy a stroll down the pedestrian walkway which is among the largest in Europe.

Kokkino Limanaki (Red Harbor)

This is one of the most popular beaches of the northern coast of Attica. It takes its name by the spectacular red rocks that surround it and protect it from the northern winds. Its main characteristics are the blue crystal clear waters, the combination of sand and small pebbles and its perfect semicircular shape, ideal for aerial photography. You will find it just after Rafina.

Legrena Beach

It is one of the most remote (just after the 60th km Athens-Sounion, bordering with the Municipality Lavrion), one of the largest and probably the most beautiful beach of Attica. Its main characteristics are the fine sand, the small bushes, the dunes and, of course, the crystal clear blue waters. Due to its location far from Athens, this place is not popular with the crowds thus making it ideal for a quiet day on the beach.

Schinias Beach

This is of the largest beaches of Attica, covering an area of several kilometers. A part of the beach is organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bars. You can also do water sports and play beach volleyball. The Northern part of the beach, which is full of pine trees, is not as organized and thus appropriate for those who are not fans of the crowd. It is located 45 km from Athens, right after Nea Makri
